Around Casa Windlenook

The Costa Blanca is situated on the east coast of Spain, and is recognised as having the most attractive and dramatic scenery along the whole of the Mediterranean coast.
The villa is perched high on Cumbre del Sol (meaning Crown of the Sun), a spectacular hillside rising 450 metres above the Mediterranean Sea, which has twice featured as the stunning backdrop for the world famous Grand Tour cycle road race 'La Vuelta a Espagne'. In an area considered by the World Health Organisation to have ‘one of the most environmentally perfect climates in the world’, Cumbre del Sol is an exclusive location with it's own private beach (Moraig beach) just 5 minutes drive from the villa. On a clear day, you can look across to Ibiza which is 60 miles off the coast.
Close to the traditional towns of Moraira, Javea and Denia, there is an endless variety of lovely restaurants, cafes, beaches, bars, markets and excellent supermarkets all within a short drive of the villa. Car hire is essential.
Here are just a few of the local highlights -
Moraira – 10 minutes to this beautiful, characterful town with 2 beaches, a lovely yacht marina, castle, traditional fish market, and a plethora of restaurants, local shops and cafés tucked into the quaint narrow streets as well as along the sea-front.
