Casa Windlenook is a super holiday villa which genuinely has it all! We had a wonderful family holiday here and would highly recommend. Easily the best property we've stayed in on the Cumbre. A peaceful location with stunning sea views, comfortable bedrooms and everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. The heated pool is, of course, fabulous - as is morning coffee on the lovely terrace/ evening aperitif in the cosy naya. Do not hesitate to book!
Well, where to begin. A truly memorable holiday for all the right reasons. We had a fantastic stay at your wonderful property. We have travelled extensively for 40+ years and have never visited such a well equipped holiday home. The pool was nicely warm for us all; the property was spotlessly clean; everything was as you described, but better; the directions were perfect; it really couldn't have been any better! Moraira is a really nice place and met and exceeded our expectations. Vanessa was very helpful when we needed her, she was very knowledgeable with local information too. So, in summary, a memorable holiday for all the right reasons.
Lovely Villa with fantastic views! Casa Windlenook is a very well specified villa with everything you could possibly want including a Sky TV package - very useful in the colder winter weather. The views are fantastic and the heated pool is a great option. Highly recommended!
Our second time in this villa says it all. Eleanor & Mike have thought of everything to ensure that your stay is relaxed and comfortable. Beautiful and quiet location overlooking the Med with superb swimming pool. The local manager, Vanessa, is great and there to help in any way she can. An amazing villa. From the moment we arrived we all fell in love with the house and amazing views. The little touches in the house down to ice already made for our drinks and the welcome goodies, dressing gowns for all of us to use made our stay perfect. We will definitely be back.

Great Villa. We have been booking villa holidays for 20 plus years now and Casa Windlenook is the best we have stayed at in terms of the quantity and quality of the amenities provided. The villa has everything required to supplement the superb view. The owners and local manager are also very helpful and quick to respond. A car is definitely required, (a parking space is provided) and the great coastal location does mean a 10 minute plus drive to the nearest supermarket, restaurant etc.
What a beautiful place!!! The house is very cozy and plenty of space for 6 people. The view is so beautiful, so you just want to sit down and look all day long. The house was also very clean. And a lovely welcome pack. The area was very quiet which was very nice for us. Lovely towns near by to visit.

Perfect Family Villa - We stayed here for one week during August with our 7 year old daughter. Our only regret was we wished we had booked for longer! The villa is spacious and clean with a modern feel to it. The villa is extremely well equipped with a fantastic coffee machine and a well thought through arrival pack. The views were lovely and a great backdrop for when we were splashing about in the pool or cooking on the BBQ. We went to Moraira almost every day to enjoy the beach and visit the cafe bars, there is a nice shaded play park there too. All in all we had a great time and would definitely visit again.
The villa and the surrounding exceeded our expectations. Beautiful and clean villa equipped with everything you need regardless if you want to stay a day at the pool or want to enjoy some of the beautiful beaches nearby. Kids loved it, we did too. Perfect Villa in an idyllic location. The villa owners Eleanor and Mike really have thought of everything. From the fully equipped kitchen to the superb entertainment set up. The outdoor pool was just the correct temperature and was used by the family every day. Within a short drive are supermarkets and cafes/restaurants. Several attractions in nearby towns with lots of beaches in easy reach. Certainly recommend for a peaceful break in a stunning location. Thank you.

Casa Wonderful Windlenook!! An outstanding beautiful villa where we enjoyed an unforgettable holiday with family.To wake to truly spectacular sea views was a real plus then breakfast on the terrace followed by relaxing around the pool was idyllic. The villa is pristine in every respect. Very comfortable and very quiet and luxuriously appointed. The outstanding coastal resorts of Moraira, Xavia and Denia are well worth a visit and within easy reach of the villa. Spending time around the pool and on the terraces with a drink in hand was pure bliss. From drinking coffee in the morning to a glass of wine in the evening, from sunrise to sunset and finishing the day star gazing made staying at Casa Windlenook a truly memorable experience. First off, this villa has the “wow factor”!! The views are simply stunning from this beautifully furnished accommodation! Our week long stay was most idyllic as we were able to combine some quality chill time by the villa’s lovely pool & terraces with visits to the nearby resorts of Xàbia, Moraira & Denia. The villa’s facilities were excellent and catered for all our needs ranging from cooking our locally purchased fresh fish on the BBQ to breakfast on the terrace! Mike & Eleanor’s attention to detail is to be commended from the welcome pack to the nice touch of the beach bag gift which was much appreciated by my wife! Plus the provision of beach towels saved on unnecessary bulky luggage! We’ve been fortunate to stay in some lovely villas around the world and this is right up there with the best of them - we will definitively be coming back again!

The owners attention to detail and the facilities within the villa are excellent. The villa's manager is brilliant at looking after you and is extremely helpful. All that you have to do is arrive, unpack, and enjoy the welcoming pack that awaits you.
Sehr schönes Haus mit einem tollen Ausblick. Pool war sehr warm und somit war auch Abends noch schwimmen möglich. Alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Bei Ankunft etliche Lebensmittel schon im Kühlschrank bereit sowie ein kleines Geschenk. Bademäntel sind auch vorhanden. Wir können dieses Haus bestens weiter empfehlen. Ferienzeit war ende September - Mitte Oktober 2017
Superb stay! Myself and my husband stayed here with our 16 month old daughter in September. It was wonderful. Eleanor and Mike were fantastically accommodating leading up to our stay, providing a cot, highchair and stair gate, nothing was too much trouble. When we arrived (thanks to their detailed directions) we were wowed by the view and even happier with how clean everything was. They had thought of everything, it was a home from home with a super comfy bed. The pool was great although it gets deep quite quickly but it does have steps so our toddler was happy to sit on those. The villa is on an urbanisation with a supermarket, beach and Michelin star restaurant, a car is essential with Moraira about a 10 minute drive. If you are looking to relax with a bottle of wine and a book then this is the place for you. We would not hesitate to book at Casa Windlenook again, it's the best villa we have stayed in.
Outstanding Villa and Great Location! Previous reviews made us slightly nervous - could Casa Windlenook be as good as they say? The answer is yes and more so. The villa is excellent - finished to an outstanding standard with everything you need, and in a lovely location. The pool is brilliant and loved by all four of us and we loved cooking on the top of the line Weber gas BBQ. Eleanor and Mike were friendly, helpful and informative from the start (the directions to the villa being particularly brilliant) as was the local manager. Nothing was too much trouble. Moraira (the nearest town) is lovely - we enjoyed the beach, ice creams at Tutto Frutto and lunch at Algas L'Andrago (on the front on the Calpe Road from Moraira). Kids liked playing on the inflatable by the beach in Moraira as well. We also like the beach at L'Arenal where there was a diving platford to play on. Overall a great villa and a brilliant location - our holiday was over far far too quickly.
Perfect Place to relax! This was our first visit to Casa Windlenook. It is such a comfortable,relaxing and peaceful place to stay, with beautiful views. Everything is of the highest quality. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds so comfortable. It is truly a home from home and they have thought of everything. I would like to thank Eleanor and Mike for their friendly advice and very detailed directions which helped me find the villa whilst travelling on my own initially. Nothing is too much trouble for them in helping you enjoy the experience.
The owners have taken great care, with the provision of quality furnishings and equipment, to make this wonderful villa a stunning, comfortable place to relax and enjoy your time in this gorgeous area of the Spanish coast. The very comfortable beds, the pool, the sea views, the relaxing terraces, the extremely well-equipped kitchen all make this the perfect place to stay. We arrived at Casa Windlenook and my first impression was that it was high end, clean and spacious. After touring the villa and seeing the views I knew this was a dream come true. The linens were top notch and the towels were so soft. The pool was heaven. I will be back, no doubt about it. We also toured the beaches and surrounding towns - so much to see. Thank you for making our stay such a delight.

Casa Windlenook is an awesome, beautIful, clean, delightful Villa... You get the theme? I could continue but let's move on. The views are excellent, the beds are fantastic (best we slept on during this trip) and the pool is a gem! Our days began and ended on the "Naya", espresso overlooking the med, pool, breakfast, pool, exploring or beach, pool, naya. Does it get any better? Eleanor and Mike have created a very special retreat. If you book a stay at Casa Windlenook you will understand the A - Z reference as Eleanor has created a book to help you maximize your vacation but if you require anything else their property manager Lorraine is your go to gal! So helpful:-) Zaftig... In honor of our German traveling companions! Thanks for everything! We would love to return someday....
My family and I spent a wonderful week in Moraira. Casa Windlenook is an exceptional, well equipped villa - the extremely helpful owners really have thought of everything. It really felt like a home from home & our two girls absolutely loved the swimming pool which was the perfect temperature! We could have stayed all Summer. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back to stay in this stunning villa and location.

We had a wonderful stay and will be going back in 2017. The customer service was excellent before we even visited the villa, which gave us great confidence regarding what to expect on arrival. The description of the villa was accurate and the photos too - it is every bit as beautiful as it looks. The amenities were superb. The hosts have honestly thought of everything needed for a wonderful holiday, in the kitchen, lounge, bedrooms bathrooms and outside. The welcome pack is the best we have ever had. It is stated in the advert that a car is essential and this s true however several lovely, welcoming towns with numorous restaurants to choose from are close by which entails a very short drive. If you want a change from the super pool ( we had it heated) the sandy beach is a short drive away. The villa was very clean and well maintained with plenty of household equipment if needed. I would recommend this villa to friends and family without hesitation.
Beautifully Maintained and Equipped Villa. Every item you could possibly need is provided. The owners are lovely people - very helpful and responsive! The villa was very peaceful (we stayed in Jan so not a busy time anyway) and there is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the lovely views.
We didn't book our holiday this year until late and were left with the choice of Villas that nobody else really wanted...when looking at the various companies on line. We have stayed in quite a few Villas over the years and so are quite particular when making a final choice. We were beginning to get worried that we were not going to find something suitable. Fortunately, I came across Casa Windlenook which turned out to be exactly what we were looking for and more ! The villa is superb, I can't actually fault it. Very modern and very well maintained throughout. Superb views, great swimming pool. We have two sons, 12 and 16 who thought the ultra modern TV with a 1,000 channels was great ! Every need has been considered. There is a great gas barbq on the terrace. Furniture, fixtures and fittings are of very high standard and there is plenty of everything...plates, glasses, cutlery etc. The owners were very helpful throughout the booking process and very friendly. Our only disappointment was that we only had one week to enjoy it ! We really liked Moraira which boasts plenty of restaurants etc but with out being unspoilt. We will return at some point I am sure.
I stayed in this villa for 3 weeks in June / July with my family, wife and 2 girls 12 & 10. We all had a fantastic time. The villa is extremely well stocked with everything that you may need. The real luxury , unlike other villas I have stayed in, the little things were there. Salt & Pepper, gas for BBQ, chairs for the beach, and a lovely welcoming pack. The pool was fantastic and was regularly used by our kids late into the evening. While the days were very hot, there was usually a little breeze that made life just that little bit more comfortable. The view from the villa over the sea is just fantastic. We spent many evenings having a drink or dinner looking out to sea. The area was very quiet and at time it felt like the only noise came from my kids. There are a number of towns close by with many restaurants and bars. Various beaches are close by. But a car is a must. Great location for cyclists , but expect some big climbs.

We are very experienced in the villa rental market and prefer to choose to rent a villa rather than stay in a hotel. However, we have had good and bad experiences. On this occasion we had the best time. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and will definitely return. On arriving at the villa we found it was pristine.....definitely up to our own standards at home. The kitchen is chock full of all the cutlery, crockery and utensils you will need for your stay. The lounge and dining room is open plan with the kitchen semi open plan with these rooms. The settees are extremely comfortable and a huge bonus for us was having all the usual Sky TV channels we have at home on the large flat screen, so that we didn't have to miss our favourite programmes. The Dining table is big enough to seat everyone staying in the villa when all the (3) bedrooms are full. There are doors to a large patio that has amazing sea views as well a dining table/chairs and large gas bbq which is very easy to use. We ate all our meals here and watched boats, yachts and jet skis coming and going from the local beach as well as the local town of Moraira. Also on this floor is a large bedroom with a super king size bed. Mattress and pillows were extremely comfortable and there is a choice of natural..feather/down and synthetic pillows to satisfy all requirements. The ensuite shower room is roomy and the shower is also a good size. Downstairs is a further two double bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with twin beds. There is also a large utility room with a washer and separate dryer and another good sized shower room. From the downstairs hall is a door leading to the (heated) swimming pool and sun terrace again with good sea views. There are also lots of blow up toys for using on the pool. There is a very reliable wi fi available and DVDs, books and games for entertainment if required
We had a very enjoyable time in the villa which felt like a home from home and would highly recommend it for families with older children, although it is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems due to a number of steps inside and outside the villa. If you are looking for a perfectly clean and fitted out villa with pool with potential heating, good sea views and in a quiet area...then look no further. Of all the villas we have stayed in across Europe...this is the best by far.
We stayed at Casa Windlenook for the first week in September and were amazed by the high specification and standard. When we arrived we were pleased to find that some food essentials had been delivered; this is a personal touch that the owner provides to every guest to the villa, and after a day of traveling we found this to be a godsend! The villa was spacious, immaculately clean and catered for everything you could possibly want whilst away from home. The weather was amazing and stayed warm into the night, which allowed us to utilise the gas barbecue whilst listening to the digital radio. In the daytime the balcony was very private and excellent for sunbathing, and the pool was refreshing when the sun got a little too hot. In the evenings we either stayed out on the balcony or chilled out in the lounge and watched Sky TV. Each room was luxuriously decorated and the entire villa kept meticulously clean. The location itself means that it's far removed from the usual tourist areas (which is a real plus), but at the bottom of the hill there are a range of supermarkets offering fantastic fresh food and meat at amazing prices which makes the villa ideal for a self catering holiday. The range of kitchen utensils means that you can cook whatever you want, including enjoying the local oranges using the juicer! Overall we had a thoroughly amazing time at Casa WIndlenook and will definitely be returning soon!
We loved our stay, the villa is beautiful with everything included to make it a perfect relaxing holiday. We enjoyed driving around seeeing the sights then coming back for a swim, drinks and a bbq on the balcony all looking at the majestic view. The nights we didnt cook ourselves we had great meals at some of the restaurants in Moraira. Thank you Mike and Eleanor for a perfect week.
We had a week here at the end of May with family and friends. The villa is faultless, absolutely spotless, superb sea views, everything you would wish for is provided for the comfort of the guests, .including the most comfortable beds for complete relaxation - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cannot recommend this villa highly enough. We stayed for a week at Casa Windlenook with our three sons aged 16, 19 and 20. The villa is superbly equipped throughout and there is plenty of entertainment with the 3D TV, pool and of course the fabulous view. There is plenty to do in the area and a fantastic choice of restaurants if you can bear to drag yourself away from the villa. Highlights for us were a drive up through Jalon valley and over the top of the mountain to the Font d'Algar. Also enjoyed walking down the rugged path to the rocky beach near the villa. All in all a fantastic place to relax and I hope we will be back again one day!
